The Back Story
Humanitas was founded in 2023 by Oxbridge alumni and is based near London. Its core staff have many years’ experience as editors and proofreaders; some of us have also worked in academia, in the corporate world as professional writers and as journalists for international media. The team collaborates with a growing network of part-time editors, most of whom are in academia or in graduate school. Every manuscript that our part-time editors proofread and/or copyedit is checked by the core team before being returned to the client.
As a new firm in the market, we understand it’s our duty to earn your trust. That’s why we give first-time clients the chance to test our service with no obligations, and the option of payment by instalments. This allows you to retain control and enables us to assist you at different stages in the writing process.
The idea of creating Humanitas came from our realisation that while there are several academic proofreading companies out there, many ESL clients find it hard to obtain the service they need at an accessible price. We aim to help fill that gap. Whether your document needs basic proofreading, refinement while retaining your style, or a more idiomatic English style, our services will meet your requirements.
Join our community of satisfied customers and we’ll help you to maximise the potential of your written work. Contact us today and discover the difference our expertise makes.
